Our Departments

A Brief Look At Our Departments

2 Chronicles 20:21 (AMP)

When he had consulted with the people, he appointed those who sang to the Lord and those who praised Him in their holy (priestly) attire, as they went out before the army and said, “Praise and give thanks to the Lord, for His mercy and loving kindness endure forever.”

John 4:23 (AMP)

But a time is coming and is already here when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit [from the heart, the inner self] and in truth; for the Father seeks such people to be His worshipers.

Music has always been an integral part of the worship of God's people. The main purpose of the Music Ministry is to spread the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ through songs, edify believers, lead the congregation in worship and give opportunity to gifted individuals to use their various gifting and talents for God's glory.

‘Ever flourishing Choir’ is the resident adult choir of Watered Garden with a membership of about 50 seasoned singers and musicians. Our core mandate is 'Awesome Worship’. This is the first strength of Watered Garden. Thus, we dispense the life and glory of God which is in Christ to His people, through the ministration of songs.

We are a team of beautiful people closely- knit by love into a family. Love is our working principle as we exhibit all the core values of Watered Garden in a Love-RIDE (Respect, Integrity, Dedication, and Excellence). We welcome you to join us worship & serve as stewards together in this great house; Watered Garden.

Our Meeting Days

Our meeting days are twice in a week; Thursdays and Saturdays. We look forward to meeting you with love.

The prayer department includes people from all departments of the church. The prayer department acts as the power house of the church, its members and the body of Christ globally. Together with other designated departments, we coordinate all prayer programs of the church. Among these programs are annual retreats and Prayer Intense. Our goal is to keep the church spiritually ablaze through prayer and grow prayer leaders for the church.

Our Meeting Days

We meet on Sundays after church and Tuesdays at 6:30pm.

The Pastoral Care Team is made up of carefully selected members who have gone through Glory Life Bible School and are loyal to the vision and mission of the church. They assist the pastors in handling the affairs of soul winning, follow up and the church’s new branches. They also help in handling the issues of those experiencing times of challenge, loss, transition and celebration. Team members are trained and supervised by the pastors. They are reliable and maintain a covenant of respect and confidentiality.

“You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden. Nor do they light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house. Let your light so shine before men so that they may see your good works and glorify your father in heaven”. - Matt 5: 14 - 16

The Watered Garden Children Ministry (WGCM) is the foundation and future of the Watered Garden Church. The Ministry seeks to teach and instill the word of God into the lives of children at an early age. This is to fulfil the directives from God that parents/caregivers should “train up the child in the ways/he should go that when they grow they will not depart from it” Prov. 22: 6.

The Ministry is divided into four classes:

  • Manasseh Class - this is the senior and teen class of the ministry between the ages of 12 – 15 years and are in Upper Primary and Junior High School.
  • Esther Class – children in this class are between the ages of 8 – 11 years and are in lower and upper primary.
  • Alexina A Class – the class is made up of pre-schoolers, children between the ages of 0 – 5 years.
  • Alexina B Class – is made up of children between the ages of 6 – 7 years who are in primary 1 to 3.

We have a choir called ‘Melodies of the Garden’ and a choreography group. Our motto is “the sky is the starting point.”
Currently, we have 10 teachers and 200 children and as part of their annual activities, we go for child evangelism and annual retreat and trainings for the teachers.

GLBS is our in-house Bible School. Currently, it takes the form of a one month "Bible Intense" program twice in a year. As part of their practical ministry field work, GLBS graduands become part of the Pastoral Care Team. They are directly in charge of soul winning, follow up and discipleship in existing and new branches.

They oversee follow up teams comprising Team Leaders, Shepherds, Captains and Souls (New Converts, New Members, and those who fellowship and visit regularly). Aside follow up, they meet their teams on Fridays (7pm -10pm). This is designed as a modified Home Cell system of follow up. They also receive and attend to First timers who attend our Sunday services.

New members and new converts are retained through effective discipleship, by way of our Sunday school (Bible Study) system. This is a 6-year comprehensive bible study program. Active participants would be thoroughly equipped to do the work of deacons and pastors. The structure is as follows;

  • Foundation class (2 months or 8 weeks)
  • Membership class (2 months or 8 weeks)
  • Discipleship class (18 months)
  • Workers class 1 (6 months)
  • Workers class 2 (6 months)
  • Maturity class (12 months)
  • Ministers class (18 months).
